Back to God Hour Radio Ministry

Christian Library ministry in St.Petersburg is enhanced by BTGH partnership in publishing and sharing of Reformed reflections on websites and newspaper. Here we see visitors Rev. Gary Bekker and Ron Geerlings from the Grand Rapids home office of CRWM sharing fellowship at the library with the director Alexander Kozyrev and his wife, along with BTGH staff Serguei Sossedkin and Mikhail Nevolin.

  • Radio Broadcast Ministries
  • Follow-up ministry by dedicated national Christians

Mikhail Nevolin is new Back to God Hour Correspondent

Today, Rev. Serguei Sossedkine, a Russian native who has finished studies at Calvin Theological Seminary, ministers to his homeland using international and local radio stations to blanket the Russian speaking world.  Serguei sends out 6 radio messages a week over the airwaves, and the largest response of those broadcasts in the form of response letters comes from Russia, Ukraine and Byelarussia.Follow-up literature from the Back to God Hour is sent by two staff workers working with our Moscow office.

•  In Chicago at the FD meetings, Gary was able to have his first-ever meeting with BTGH's Director Cal Bremer AND Rev. Serguei Sossedkine in the same meeting! High on the agenda were the staffing issues in Moscow, and the intended shift of the ministry to St. Petersburg.

•  Serguei Sossedkine and Gary had a few meetings with Dr. Mikhail Nevolin, the new BTGH correspondent for follow-up ministry in Russia. Mikhail began listening to Christian radio while working as a radio operator on a Soviet merchant ship. He became a Christian in 1991, has a master's degree in radio communication, and has since received theological training. Mikhail is a long-time acquaintance of our library director, and they have plans to develop new ministries at the renovated library.

The hiring of Dr. Mikhail Nevolin in St. Petersburg as our new BTGH correspondent presents a fresh opportunity for BTGH, WLM and CRWM to cooperate in collaborative ministry projects. Mikhail is very qualified professionally as a radio technologist, and is solidly networked with the church leaders and para-church groups here in St. Petersburg.
